Pavement rehabilitation at several parking lots, and street reconstruction on a number of streets, is getting underway soon. These projects are improvements to the infrastructure of Half Moon Bay, helping to make our City more attractive, safe, and comfortable. Motorists in these areas should exercise extra caution and be aware of machinery, detours, closures, and workers. The City apologizes for any inconvenience that may occur as a result of these projects.
2018 Parking Lot Improvements Project
Construction for pavement rehabilitation is scheduled to begin on April 30 on the parking lots at these locations: Ted Adcock Community Center, City Hall, and Poplar Beach. The parking lots will be intermittently closed during construction, so visitors to these locations should consider planning to use alternate parking.
Depending on the location, this project may include pavement base repair, pavement surface reconstruction, crack repair, slurry seal application, and pavement re-marking. Minor ADA modifications will include a new van-accessible parking space at the Ted Adcock Community Center parking lot and a new ADA ramp at the Poplar Beach parking lot.
Construction will take place during the day from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Notices will be posted in advance of the project, The goal is to complete this work prior to the end of May.
