American Red Cross - Prepare - Make A Plan

The EMERGENCY SHELTER in the Half Moon Bay area is Half Moon Bay High School located at Lewis Foster Drive.  School administrators will determine whether to evacuate and relocate students to the shelter or remain in place.  If the emergency does not require evacuation, parents can/should pick up their children if at all possible. The AMERICAN RED CROSS manages the Emergency Shelter.

*   In case of a TSUNAMI WARNING and evacuation is recommended: WALK, do not drive, EAST of Highway One and continue to higher elevation.  Bring your EMERGENCY KIT. Do not return to your home until it has been declared safe to do so.  TSUNAMI DANGER still exists several hours after the last wave.
